Kodak and Samsung digital camera patent technology exchange settlement

Kodak Monday announced that it has reached a settlement agreement with Samsung Electronics laptop battery, the two sides will exchange a digital camera patents.

Last month, the U.S. International Trade Commission found Kodak Samsung infringed two patents. This time to reach a settlement, the two companies can use each other’s patents.

Kodak said that Samsung will pay royalties, but gave no details.

Kodak in November 2008 to the United States International Trade Commission to prosecute, saying that Samsung VGP-BPS8,VGP-BPS8A,VGP-BPS9,VGP-BPS9/B and LG camera phones manufactured in violation of its own patents.

United States International Trade Commission to resolve the main body of such a patent dispute, because the body can stop problems with parts imported products.

Samsung and Kodak will jointly issued a request to the termination of the International Trade Commission patent infringement processing.

Last year, early in December, Kodak and LG announced a similar settlement agreement.
